Light Sensor helps you measure ambient light levels using the sensor built into your device. View real-time illuminance in lux (and optional foot-candles), track trends over time, and see how lighting conditions change in your environment.

Key features:

  • Real-time readings with a clear numeric display and live graph
  • Min/Max/Average tracking for each session
  • Adjustable calibration offset to match a reference meter
  • Logging with timestamps, configurable sampling rate, and CSV export
  • Threshold alerts when light levels go above or below your set points
  • Presets for common scenarios (reading, office, photography, indoor plants)
  • Light and dark themes, with an option to keep the screen on during measurement

Notes:

  • Accuracy depends on your device’s hardware and calibration.
  • Some devices do not include an ambient light sensor; if yours does not, readings may be unavailable.
  • This app measures illuminance (brightness) and does not provide color temperature or UV data.
  • Intended for indicative measurements and not a substitute for certified instruments.

Permissions:

  • Optional storage permission for exporting logs
  • Optional notifications for threshold alerts
